How our Conveyancing firm started
From the mid 1980's there emerged a number of conveyancing firms in New South Wales. As
there was no licensing for such businesses at the time, they were only able to operate
legally by outsourcing those parts of the conveyancing process which required a solicitor.
This process was fairly cumbersome and led to a push in the late 1980's for conveyancers
to be licensed and recognised as a separate profession. This was the case in a number of
other States.
With the commencement of East Coast Conveyancing in 1992, East Coast was the first to offer an alternative
to solicitors outside the metropolitan areas. East Coast was also the first to offer a "flat
fee" for their services outside the metro area.

East Coast Conveyancing commenced from humble beginnings in 1992 and now has grown with offices in
